The Right Hand: Held at his heart in a commanding, subduing gesture, his right hand wields a Vajra (thunderbolt), symbolizing his indestructible realization and his power to destroy illusions.
The Left Hand: Resting in his lap in the Dhyana Mudra (meditation gesture), his left hand holds a Kapala (skull cup). Inside the cup sits the Kalasha (vase of immortality), symbolizing his attainment of deathless wisdom and his ability to grant long life and spiritual power.
The Left Arm (The Khatvanga): Resting purely in the crook of his left arm is the Khatvanga, a mystical three-pointed trident staff. This vital, asymmetrical implement symbolizes his supreme realization and his inseparable connection to his spiritual consorts.
