Symbolism & Meaning:
The Central Hands (Anjali Mudra): His two primary hands are folded at his heart in the prayer gesture (Anjali Mudra). Between his palms, he delicately cradles a wish-fulfilling jewel (Cintamani), symbolizing his deep commitment to answering the prayers of all beings and granting them the treasures of compassion and wisdom.
The Upper Right Hand: He holds a crystal mala (prayer beads). The continuous drawing of the beads represents his unending, cyclical effort to liberate beings from the suffering of earthly existence.
The Upper Left Hand: He holds a blooming lotus flower (Padma). The lotus, which grows flawlessly clean from muddy waters, symbolizes the purity of his mind, completely unstained by the delusions of the world.
Craftsmanship & Material: This statue is cast from durable Copper and features a hand-applied, darkened antique finish to highlight the intricate details of the Chenrezig’s robes and serene facial expression. Please note: This is a hollow-cast copper item, making it sturdy yet light enough to easily move.
Ideal Placement: Traditionally placed inside a Choesham in a pooja hall or a meditation space, ideally at eye level or higher, and never directly on the floor.
