Handcrafted Jambhala/ Kubera Statue - The Bodhisattva of Wealth
Description: In Tibetan Buddhism, Jambhala is the Bodhisattva of Material and Spiritual Wealth. Interestingly, he shares the same energetic lineage and attributes as the Hindu deity Kubera. Jambhala is traditionally depicted with a slightly plump, prosperous belly, seated in the posture of royal ease. His highly asymmetrical implements represent the generation and distribution of wealth Practitioners invite Jambhala into their homes to increase financial stability, and generate the prosperity needed to practice the Dharma without worldly distractions. This striking, prosperous figure serves as a highly auspicious centerpiece for any home, office, or business environment.
Symbolism & Meaning:
The Right Hand (The Citron Fruit): Resting gently on his right knee in the gesture of granting boons (Varada Mudra), his right hand holds a Bijapuraka (citron fruit) or a wish-fulfilling jewel. This represents his ability to grant spiritual and material desires.
The Left Hand (The Jewel-Spitting Mongoose): Held securely in his left hand or resting on his left thigh is a mongoose (Nehulya). In traditional iconography, the mongoose symbolizes victory over the nagas (serpent deities who guard subterranean treasures). The mongoose is depicted actively spitting out precious jewels, representing the constant, flowing distribution of wealth to all beings.
The Right Foot: His right foot steps down, often resting upon a conch shell or a lotus, ready to step into the world to alleviate suffering and poverty.

Please note: This is a hollow-cast copper item, making it sturdy yet light enough to easily move.
