Handcrafted Dorjee Shampa / Vajrasattva Statue - The Buddha of Purification
Title: Handcrafted Dorjee Shampa / Vajrasattva Statue - The Buddha of Purification
Description: Dorjee Shampa is the Buddha of Purification. Practitioners meditate on him to cleanse their karma, clear negative mental patterns, and purify broken vows. Purify your space and mind with this exquisite statue of Dorjee Shampa (Vajrasattva), the Buddha of Purification. Essential to Tibetan Buddhist practice, he embodies the absolute purity of the enlightened mind. This serene figure is perfect for dedicated practitioners focusing on karma-clearing meditations, or for anyone wishing to anchor their space with an energy of renewal, clarity, and peace.
Symbolism & Meaning:
The Right Hand (Method): Held delicately at his heart, his right hand grasps a Vajra (or Dorje in Tibetan). This thunderbolt scepter symbolizes the indestructible nature of truth and the active, compassionate method required to attain enlightenment.
The Left Hand (Wisdom): Resting gracefully at his left hip, his left hand holds a Ghanta (ritual bell) facing upward. The bell represents the feminine principle of the perfection of wisdom, specifically the realization of emptiness.
The Union: Together, the Vajra at the heart and the Bell at the hip symbolize the perfect, inseparable union of Compassion (method) and Wisdom—the core requirement for achieving the enlightened state.
Craftsmanship & Material: This statue is cast from durable Copper and features a hand-applied, darkened antique finish to highlight the intricate details of the Vajrasattva’s robes and serene facial expression. Please note: This is a hollow-cast copper item, making it sturdy yet light enough to easily move.
Ideal Placement: Traditionally placed inside a Choesham in a pooja hall or a meditation space, ideally at eye level or higher, and never directly on the floor.
